We met 5 years ago in 2004, without ever thinking that we will actually fall in love afterwards. Starting off as good friends, we shared our deepest secrets and little jokes. We spent hours chatting on the phone, exchanged tens of thousands of messages and little by little, our feelings grew. Both of us were shy, at first, neither expressed our liking for each other. Fortunately, Stan expressed his feelings and we both took the first bold step towards a long-term relationship.

Stan and I went through the toughest test of our love when Stan went through his National Service. During his two weeks’ confinement in Pulau Tekong, I didn’t say single word to anybody for 3 whole days. We endured through and going against all odds, we survived the longest 2 years of our lives! We went through a year of studying in NTU together and now, it’s time for Stan to get used to university life without me by his side.

Just like many other couples, we have had our fair share of tiffs, kisses, tears and happy moments. Initially, we couldn’t stand each other’s shortcomings and we often quarreled over the tiniest misunderstandings. But over the past 4 years, we have come to realize that honest and open communication is the most important key to making a relationship work. Stan and I have also learnt that “forgive and forget” will make our lives a lot happier and easier.

Now we have embarked on a whole new chapter of our lives, running this online business together. This is another test of our relationship and understanding of each other. I am pretty confident that we will be able to make this a success, with your support!

The name “Stanfordgirls” actually originated from Stan’s name. With this, we hope to create a unique and never-before online shopping experience. In time to come, we will bring Stanfordgirls to a higher level and bring our brand name worldwide.
